Announce your Actions during the "Global Wave"!

Announce your Actions
for the "GlobalWave"

Groups around the world are discussing and coordinating actions for the "Global Wave" in October/November 2010. In case you plan actions during the rest of 2010 as well you can easily link it to the "Global Wave" by using the "united symbol" on items like posters, banners, flags and t-shirts. By doing so you express your support for the international "joint statement". It is vital that you take pictures and/or film the action and communicate reports using the infrastructure of the platform "International Student Movement", so people around the world will know about it.

The "Global Wave of Action for Education" will kick off with the "National Day of Action to Defend Education" in the U.S.A. on October 7th and continue with various actions around the world at least until the end of November.

Let's create an overview of all the actions being prepared for October/November and that can be considered as part of the "Global Wave".

Day of Action in Italy - October 8th

According to "Unione Degli Studenti" (UDS), the Day of Action ("Change Now!"), which will see rallies across Italy on October 8th can be considered as part of the "Global Wave of Action"!

I received this message today, saying that a Global Wave Party is being planned to take place on Nov.11 to raise money for further actions afterwards.

Hi Mo,

in Regensburg wird am 11.11.2010 eine Global Wave Party stattfinden.
Damit soll Geld für eine weitere Aktion in dem Rahmen zusammenkommen.
Ich werde zu gegebenem Anlass nochmal schreiben.

Um 20:00 Uhr ist Einlass in der Alten Mälzerei, Galgenbergstraße 20, 93053 Regensburg. Es spielen zwei Bands und ein DJ für 4€ Eintritt. Gerne kannst du die Veranstaltung auflisten.

Der SprecherInnenrat Regensburg ist offiziell Veranstalter und somit auch Unterstützer der Global Wave of Action for Education.

Bildungsstreik München, Unibrennt and the Schülerinitiative München will also be planning different events during the months of October and November.

October 7th: Global Wave Kick-Off at the Hochschule München
(banner-drop - we will send pictures & press release)

October 21st: Awareness for freshmen at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

mid-November: Fresher's Day in Kooperation with the student council
(events, film and activism, looking back at the occupation of 2009)

We will let you know, what els is coming!

Hi all!

Activists at the "Perspektiventreffen" in Bochum spontanously decided that they will express their solidarity with the "Global Wave of Action" with a banner-drop at the Ruhr Universität on October the 7th. Additionally, we will distribute flyers with the joint statement and a comment on our action.
We will submit pictures and a statement.
