Protests during the "anniversary" of the "Bologna process" (19/06)

June 19th marks the "anniversary" of the "Bologna process". If there is
any interest in co-ordinating protests on that day internationally, you are welcome to make use of this entry, which I just created especially for that
pupose.

Just leave a message and let others know, that you want to organize something.

part of it already done, i think...

june 19th is the last "education strike" in germany - so for this part of europe this is already done, i think. if more coordinated protests are what you think of, this turns out to be a proposal for next day of action after week of action. you want to propose it at the next "webtreff"?

Not really...

I am not the co-ordinator for all the actions.

What I want is groups to get active themself. All groups interested in having some internationally co-ordinated protests on June 19th can just leave a comment here, let others know where they are from and what kind of protest they could imagine to arrange on that day.

Right now I think it is better to stay focussed on the Global Week of Action.
Furthermore, people from around the world attend the chat. And the protests against the Bologna process is more or less a European issue.

So, any groups interested in internationally co-ordinated protests on June 19th??

yes, but then...

"june 19th is the last "education strike" in germany - so for this part of europe this is already done, i think. ..."

versus

"Furthermore, people from around the world attend the chat. And the protests against the Bologna process is more or less a European issue."

Yes, I still think - for this part of Europe, where the bildungsstreik is planned - Allemagne/Niemcy - this could be seen as already done - cause I would be surprised if it wouldn't be mentioned at the strike day. Of course if would be better, if the groups planning the bildungsstreik would tell us some details what will be actually planned for the last bildungsstreik-day and if there really will be enough transpis dealing with this item on a demo or whatwever. But the site http://www.bildungsstreik2009.de/ is still quite fresh, the invitation to networked actions there quite recently posted also (readable after click on their Information site about their next analouge meeting) - so, let´s see.

But you say then: "people from around the world attend the chat. And the protests against the Bologna process is more or less a European issue." - yes, but creating an undertopic-chat in order to "structure" the chat items better, which means in order not to bother other chat-joining-continents with European topic might be a bit exaggerated, or what do you think?

There was an "old" idea of an euroStrike, it´s still online on wiki.bildung-schadet-nicht.de. I know, for many readers it could sound as too late for a suggestion like this: but a (ok, not coordinated, but networked - I do not know the best translation for "vernetzt") but a networked europenwide strike day on this date. impossible? totally?
(If any reader is interested in this plan: post your interest, I´ll post the direct links to it then.)
