NEWS From Nepal:
8 student wings of major political parties in Nepal have warned Private Schools and their related umbrella networks PABSON (Private and Boarding Schools Organisation Of Nepal) and NPABSON (National Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation Of Nepal) to withdraw the decision of mass tution fees hike by April 13, 2010.
New academic sessions begins on April 15, 2010, while April 14, 2010 being the Nepalese New Year.
The meeting of 8 student organisations held on Wednesday, March 31 decided to be proactively ready for the series of movements upto Schools-Close-down.
All Nepal Nepalese Free Students Union 's president  Ms. Ramkumari Jhakri and Nepal Student Union's president Mr. Pradip Poudel urged that the organised tution fees hike will be resisted on organised manner.

PS: At this stage it might be important to note that 80% of pupils rely on private schools in Nepal.
