"International Student Movement"

Here are the important updates resulting from yesterdays international chat meeting, which was attended by about 20 people in Argentina, Austria, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey, the UK, the U.S.A. and the Kosovo among others.

  spread the word by helping to invite the facebook world!

• hashtags to be used by everyone who sends messages (tweets) on twitter in connection with the "global wave": #globalEdu (english) + #ondaGlobal (spanish) - a twitter account for messages in Spanish will be set up soon by an activists in Buenos Aires

We agreed that it would be very helpful to have the following:

• a running text ("live-ticker") embedded on the ISM website, which is fed with tweets including the hashtags above; this will probably be a html code, which can then be shared, so that everybody who wants can embed the running text on their website
  Who knows how we can do that??

• a virtual worldmap!! which features all the actions that already took place during the "global wave".   Who knows how we can do that??

• publish a newsletter (preferably in different languages) maybe once a week (?), which informs about the latest actions and developments in connection with the "global wave" - a seperate entry on this will be published inside the forum tomorrow
  Who wants to work on this??

Some more groups agreed to create "video messages" for the "global wave", for example from Indonesia, the U.S.A. and Germany. Hopefully more will follow. Do discuss this within in your group, if you like the idea. Or consider creating one yourself as an individual :)

I probably forgot a few points. So please complete this overview, if you see something missing.
