March 22 - 24th:
34th National Conference of the
Bangladesh Students' Union

More than 6,000 students and 500 other members of academic institutions joined the 34th National Conference of the Bangladesh Students' Union (BSU) at the University of Dhaka. The primary focus of the conference was on the struggle against the increasing commercialisation of education.

Besides speeches, workshops and cultural events the conference included a procession on campus with flags, banners and placards. Activists at the BSU confirmed that this conference is also linked to the Spring of Resistance. To symbolize the connection the slogan "One World - One Struggle, Education is Not for Sale!" was written on the background picture of the main stage.
