idea
Well, the main idea is for the ISM to serve as an independent communication platform for groups and activists identifying with the struggle against the increasing commercialisation of education and for free emancipatory education for all.
A platform that is used to exchange information, network and make coordinations on a transnational and gobal level.
The idea is also explained here: http://ism-global.net/ism_en
I thought it might be a good time to discuss that :)
There are so many good
There are so many good arguments on both sides. On the one hand with commercialized education, the educators will compete and the students and families are in control and will have more choices but with funded education, the studies are set and the students and families are under someone else's control.
There is a lot of talk about simple regulations and how bad paid education and there are groups who are trying to make education totally free without thinking of the consequences.
