March 24th:
"Day of Rage" in New York City

Thousands of students, teachers, workers, parents and community activists rallied at City Hall and marched chanting through New York City’s financial district, protesting threatened budget cuts that would cause schools to close, tuition to rise, cut social services drastically and bring thousands of layoffs to public sector workers.
The Mayor Michael Bloomberg said $600 million must be slashed from the budget to make up for state budget cuts and to address a growing deficit. Both the mayor and governor say keeping their tax rates high would drive businesses out of New York. Who would have guessed.
Organizers of the protest confirmed that it was also linked to the Spring of Resistance.

I think they should start with their own pay first. I don't think anyone should go through life thinking they are going to get a free retirement on the backs of those who will never be able to retire. It just isn't right.
