International Student Movement

Nov. 3, 2009.  At San Diego State University, approximately between 500-600 students walked out to protest millions in recent budget cuts and mandated faculty furlough days.  Several hundred people were students, faculty, and staff from the Art, Design, and Art History Department, whose department experienced a 19.5 % budget cut this fall.  Future budget cuts are expected and have the potential to drastically change or eliminate programs.  Several media representatives were there to record the event.

Students in the Republic of Macedonia for the first time in history have started to wake up after long years of apathy and passiveness.

History

Austrian students have occupied their faculties to protest against the authoritarian structures of their education system and the budget cutbacks. For more specific details and their real message you should contact them on your own, because I am not there, I am just a german student who wants to share the information with you.

Hallo Zusammen,
