How to Join the 1st Asian Education Activists Video Conferences?

Activists on the ISM-Asia platform initiated this call for the 1st Asian Activsts Video Conferences (AAVC) for April 15-17th 2011.

The idea is for people across Asia struggling against the increasing privatisation of education not just to update each other on the local situations, but also to connect and make coordinations in the fight for free emancipatory education in the region.

To participate you need: an internet connection, a webcam, a microphone and Skype!

Simple steps:

  • Check out the schedule here (5 sessions)!
  • Download Skype (if you don't have a Skype account already)

  • Add this account to your Skype contacts: ism.asia ()

  • Mark your participation inside this doodle

  • sign up to the ISM Asia mailing list to be informed about the latest developments and to get involved

  • inform groups and activists fighting for free education in Asia! (e.g. facebook event page)

  • Consider to arrange a local group meeting and participate as a group! (financial support for projector, room rent and/or travel expenses can be provided in some cases: )
