An activist in the UK requested to include the "Defend the Right to Protest Campaign":

UK: Defend the Right to Protest Campaign
On 24th November a Strathclyde student and leading anti-cuts activist Bryan Simpson was dawn-raided and arrested by Met police at his home in Glasgow over his involvement at the Millbank student fees protest (Reclaim Education vol.01 issue02).
Despite not committing any damage, assault or endangering anyone’s safety, the tabloid press attempted to paint Bryan as the "Scottish leader of the violent mob". After being arrested at his home at 6am, Bryan was taken down to a police station, questioned for 8 hours and eventually released on bail due to lack of evidence. Bryan's bail date is up on 12th May, where he will find out if he is to be charged with violent disorder, a potentially serious charge that carries a mandatory custodial sentence. The maximum sentence is 5 years imprisonment.
Consider signing his statement of support: www.defendbryansimpson.org

Let's see if we will have enough space left to include this somewhere.

International Day of Solidarity for UPR

International Day of Solidarity with UPR

Activists in Puerto Rico and other regions of the world declared March 11th an International Day of Solidarity for the ongoing struggle against fees and the increasing privatisation of education at the University of Puerto Rico. For months students have been on strike resisting the introduction of US$800 in fees as well as the occupation of campuses by police forces.

According to activists in Puerto Rico "this international day of solidarity was convened to support the struggle of students at the UPR. It also sought to place the struggle in Puerto Rico in the global context of the fight for free emancipatory education." The initiators of this day of solidarity also confirmed it to be part of the "Spring of Resistance".

At various locations, such as Philadelphia (U.S.A.), Havana (Cuba), Madrid (Spain) and Manchester (UK), events were held to inform people about the ongoing situation at UPR. Elsewhere, for example in Barcelona (Catalonia/Spain), Boston (U.S.A.), Chicago (U.S.A.), Marburg (Germany), Mexico City (Mexico) and New York City (U.S.A.) rallies ranging between 5 and 500 people were held. Also in San Juan (Puerto Rico) itself hundreds gathered for a rally on Rio Piedras campus.
Furthermore, in Berkeley (U.S.A.), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Galiza (Spain), Granada (Spain), Guatemala and Madison (U.S.A.) activists released statements or recorded video messages of support.

Spring of Resistance – Global Days of Action

Spring of Resistance - Global Days of Action

The Global Days of Action from march 24th-26th will mark the first peak of the Spring of Resistance in 2011.

On Thursday 24th (the “Day of Rage Against Cuts”) students, workers and the public will rally at city hall in New York City (USA). Activists in Paris (France) will demonstrate in solidarity with Russian students in the fight for emancipatory education free from economic oppression.

The struggle will continue with the “education is a right” rally in Den Haag (Netherlands) on Friday 25th of March as part of a national week of action. French activists will send a wake-up call wherever they are by ringing a buzzer at 2pm. Feel free to join them and spread the message!

Also on Friday anti-cuts demonstrations in Graz (Austria) will be accompanied by student activists leading up to the actions on 26th in Vienna against austerity measures destroying education, solidarity and our ecological basis of existence.

On Saturday March 26th hundreds of thousands will rise together in different places all over the world! Especially in London (UK) where it is expected to have massive demonstrations in different locations, including: walkouts, bank-occupations, creative actions as well as an occupation of Hydepark. For more information, check out www.resist26.org. Among others groups in Bologna (Italy) and Kiev (Ukraine) also announced to join the resistance at least for that day.

The principle of neoliberal markets oppressing common sense has to come to an end. People are raising their voices everywhere. Join your local struggle and enjoy the growing hope in this Spring of Resistance!

@Kai: maybe the International Student Movement on top can just be removed?

If there is not enough space on the page, maybe this picture (also without the ISM on top) is better:

Is it really "under the motto" - I mean 'under' is just used as a preposition. I'd rather say "according the motto", don't you think so?
(( and yes, Layouting is in progress ))

double-checked

I double-checked it and it seems to be ok to say "under the motto" :)
Please note that I added March 23rd to the overview as well now.
How long do you think will the layouting take?

>roger<

Yeah, it is so. You're also saying 'under the circumstances' or 'under construction'. However, I'd rather say 'true to this motto' - just by language feeling.
But now is the issue released and nobody could change this, wuhaha.

Note

And Mo, forget it with this spray-tool in the Solidarity-UPR-Picture. It looks ugly. There much better ways to crop the focus out (transl. f. "freistellen"?) or whatever you aimed with this.
PS: The caption (Barcelona, Marburg) doesn't looks professional, too.
