Chat Meeting: What Social Media Tools to use for the "Global Weeks of Action for Education"? (1pm EST/ 7pm CEST)

Chat Meeting - Sept. 25th
What Social Media Tools to use for the
"Global Weeks of Action for Education"?

Groups and activists on the "International Student Movement" platform are currently calling for "Global Weeks of Action for Education" (November 7-20th).

During the last global chat meeting participants agreed that the use of social media tools will be vital for the communication on the global level and therefore decided to call for a seperate chat meeting to focus on this point.

Ideas so far:

  • page listing "live streams" of activities linked to the GWA around the world
  • using twitter to follow updates related to the GWA from around the world
  • arrange "live casts" (e.g. via skype or telephone) during rallies, sit-ins or other activities - so that activists get to connect and directly communicate with each other across all borders
  • channel to collect video footages + pictures of activities linked to the GWA

All who want to help setting up a communication infrastructure for the weeks of action in November are invited to participate in this chat meeting!
