Nov.18th: Free Education Rally in Pekalongan

Students organised with the Indonesian Student Union (SMI) and FPBI (a federation of labour groups) rallied on a main road in Pekalongan in Central Java.
To spread awareness about the existence of the International Students' Day a banner was presented at the rally accordingly.
To increase the media coverage the rally took place on November 18th instead of November 17th.

Many of the participants wore a black plastic bag on their heads which had currency symbols written on them.

The rally was also part of the GLOBAL WAVE of ACTION for FREE EDUCATION.
